TudorCloud is the blog of Geoff Tudor, technology and space exploration enthusiast.

Geoff has over 22 years experience in storage, broadband, and networking. As Vice President and GM of Vizion.ai, Geoff is bringing new machine learning cloud analytics capabilities to the enterprise. Geoff was most recently Chief Cloud Strategist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he led CxO engagements for Fortune 100 private cloud deployments. Prior to HPE, Geoff was co-founder and launched award-winning products in cloud storage at Nirvanix (acquired by Oracle), backup and recovery at GNS (acquired by Symantec), and gigabit Ethernet last-mile networking with Advent Networks and Tellaire (acquired by MRV Communications). He was nominated for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and recognized with the National Innovator Award by Discover Magazine.

Prior to entering the technology sector Geoff worked in Washington, DC as Legislative Director to Congressman Lamar Smith, former Chairman of the House Science Committee. While in Congress Geoff authored the Commercial Space Launch Act Amendments introduced by Congressman Smith to expand the commercial launch sector. He also was the Congressional sponsor for the Clementine Lunar Mission–the first U.S. spacecraft to return to the Moon since the Apollo era and notably detected the first signs of water that can sustain a human colony on the Moon. Geoff also served as a member of President Bush’s IT Steering Committee and a speech writer for President George H.W. Bush.

Geoff holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, a BA from Tulane University, and is a licensed pilot and patent-holder in satellite communications. He resides in Austin, TX with his wife and two children.
